I am a stern believer in pets should not wear clothing rule. If they are cold they have fur, when they aren't they shed. Putting people clothing on them is not cute. However due to the recent cold snap it has gotten very cold outside (high 19 yesterday) and I could tell the loyal dog was not enjoying walking outside in it. So I reconsidered this hard and fast rule for a minor exception, boots. Sadly when I went to the store my options were limited so cheap pink ones to which I muttered no dog of mine will wear pink boots. The other boots currently in stock were uber upscale and ran $45 which seemed rather excessive for something he may only need a few times a year. So it's down to a new petstore in town and if they don't have it Amazon had some for a reasonable price.
It still sits uneasy in my stomach, if I allow boots today, Halloween customes aren't so far away. It's a slippery slope but I will remain vigilant.

I was talking to a coworker about the new Speaker is having a four day party, she didn't think it a big deal. But the topic got me to thinking how will these events be paid for?
Traditionally such parties might be helped by Lobbyists, but then she has forbiden gifts. Parties might be a source, except they don't have soft money anymore. Which leaves me to think Nancy might have the party but we will probably have to pickup a good part of the bill. Welcome to our new, more responsible Congress.

Happy New Year all, I had a good break over the holidays. First Xmas with the family, then a great blogger gathering, and finished with the Pine Cone Drop a yearly tradition for us. Though frankly we want the trash can back, the original pine cone was a modfied trash can the current pine cone is some metal sculpture and will prettier during the day, it's not quite as impressive when it drops. Besides the trash can had a bit of low culture flare to it.
Haven't been thrilled with work of late, so I think besides working out more often, my only resolution is to move into a job that makes me more satisfied. Love being in Flagstaff, now only if I can find a job that makes me just as happy.

I had a good laugh when I read these poor domain choices, great way to start of the work week. (Via digg)
