View Article  Comment Spam II
I had not restricted unregistered users from making comments, but now you need to register to make one. This policy was based on a nest of comment spam that had found it's way to my blog. It has been removed, as per my earlier stated policy on comment spam. Sorry you have to register folks, but this should help prevent me spending another few hours in the future cleaning out the junk.
View Article  Gardenburgers for Everyone (Make Mine with Bacon!)
On Marketplace today they were talking about how Gardenburger is having problems as a company, can't compete with big names, and doesn't have much of an marketing budget. But based on Hugh's recent marketing experience with Stormhoek. I can't help but wonder if they offered to host Carnival of Recipes or began a conversation with the internet how long this problem would continue. Frankly, I doubt long.

I would offer to blog for them but...
1 - Not a Vegetarian (and to think of it finding a Vegan blogger couldn't be that tough could it?)
2 - Never eat their product without bacon and cheese
3 - Don't think the company is smart enough to try the idea.

I get the occasional question if I miss life in DC, mostly from people who live there. I always answer "I don't" which is true until I heard a friend was recently offered a job in my old neighborhood. As we talked about the area as he is moving from Flagstaff I remembered all the things I did enjoy just walking distance from my house or a short metro ride away. For the first time I really do miss living there.

But that said I am very happy to be home. Closer to family, old friends, and I love the weather. The pace of life is a littler slower and it has allowed me to write more often (and I know I need to write even more).

I'd like to wax on this topic a little more, but quite frankly I have a dog at home who is waiting to play.

Gearing up for fantasy football, I emailed the usual suspects, but if anyone is interested and I missed you just let me know.

So the Koreans have cloned a dog, but there is one very important question waiting to be answered, check the comments for my question.

I'm a Homebrewer, BJCP Judge and Writer. I want to understand the Art of Beer, but appreciate the Science that makes it happen. Perhaps most importantly I want to have fun on the way.
