More navel gazing by Big Media of blogs in the USA Today. It's not really that bad of article, but it only looks at the political angle, of which blogs often contain far more. The article mentions the big dogs of course, but ignores the niches and small publishers that make it interesting. I don't say this out of personal spite, just that oh wow politics angle got written up, been there seen that before. Maybe it's just easier for things related to politics make it easier to get print, but places like Making of a Restaurant (sadly over) or Blogcritics are changing the way people interact with media and it while politics is a segment of it, it's not all of it. Most of these newspaper articles seem to miss out on that perspective.
