Network neutrality has been discussed in alot of places lately and for non-techies it may be a difficult concept. I think this explanation makes the point pretty clear. It gets back to the old political axium "Freedom of the Press is only for those who own a printing press." If we let this issue slip away we will lose the current printing press the internet enables.
Food for thought.

In the Washington Times today an article on how the Democrats plan on bringing up privacy issues in regards to the White House and Republicans. Based on both parties history on such issues it's like using grenades in a closet, sure you will harm your oppenent, but your going to kill yourself in the process. It should be fun to watch.

Sadly the story of Schroeder's move from Chancellor of Germany to a Russian Oil Company hasn't gotten much media coverage. Especially funny from the German press because had it been a Bush official they would have been all over the story. Frankly he and Clinton terms of leadership are marked by similarities, both talked a good game before entering office and never could pull together support inside their own party to make anything good happen. If not for the Republicans and CDU/CSU neither would have had any major victories (even with them having to be shared). A waste really.
