Letterman's writers don't seem to be earning their pay since their return. They opened tonight with "and now a man who voted three times in Michigan....David Letterman." IMHO a far better opening would have been "and now a man who voted Uncommitted three times in Michigan....David Letterman."
Just that one extra word that makes the difference. Thursday, November 22

Because when I think of the holiday, this episode of WKRP will always be a classic to me at least...enjoy the food, family, and fun.
PS - If someone ever figures out why Macy's parade folks love musicals let me know, I know they do well in New York. But that is about the only place besides maybe Vegas that one can make a living on musicals. The rest of the country we don't need it as much maybe it's a cultural disconnect between New York and the rest of the country. I do know it's why I don't really care about the parade anymore. SWAT Monkey, I had two immediate thoughts.
will they be mounted with frickin lasers? SWAT Monkey - that funky Monkey SWAT Monkey - junkie That funky Monkey... I am sure Anonymous Mike will have something to say about the City of Mesa's tax dollars at work...watch for it. ps - One could suppose the reason the city of Mesa is looking to monkeys for intelligence is they don't have enough in the city government *ponder* Thursday, February 1

I am not the biggest fan of the media and these guys make them look like the jackels they generally seem to be. I am sure their lawyer said to not to talk about the case. I am sure this was not what he had in mind, but it works beautifully.
ps - If the charges were for being vandals the prosecutor may have a case, but the current charges are silly and will be quickly dropped if anyone with common sense looks at the case. (But I am not holding my breath) Tuesday, January 16

I am a stern believer in pets should not wear clothing rule. If they are cold they have fur, when they aren't they shed. Putting people clothing on them is not cute. However due to the recent cold snap it has gotten very cold outside (high 19 yesterday) and I could tell the loyal dog was not enjoying walking outside in it. So I reconsidered this hard and fast rule for a minor exception, boots. Sadly when I went to the store my options were limited so cheap pink ones to which I muttered no dog of mine will wear pink boots. The other boots currently in stock were uber upscale and ran $45 which seemed rather excessive for something he may only need a few times a year. So it's down to a new petstore in town and if they don't have it Amazon had some for a reasonable price.
It still sits uneasy in my stomach, if I allow boots today, Halloween customes aren't so far away. It's a slippery slope but I will remain vigilant. |
