I had heard this fun upbeat song (Sound Scientist) on the Daily Source Code a few weeks ago. Today Adam mentioned the band, named bill, had released an album and I rushed to get a copy. As I was looking around their website I noticed their next show will be here in Flagstaff this Friday at Mogollon Brewery. From hearing the album it will be a rocking show so if your looking for a good show this Friday checkout bill!

Pocasting, helping new bands get discovered!

Today's blogging has been brought to you by the new Rendezvous Coffee House/Martini Bar inside the Monte Vista Hotel in downtown Flagstaff.

The atomsphere is classy and old school, very comfortable for a good mixed drink it's a definate plus. Nice cozy environment for a friendly chat. They have a nice selection of bottled beers, but none on tap. Besides with a place like this you show up for a mixed drink or a nice expresso, it's not your average college beer joint (of which Flagstaff has plentiful supply). Further raising the atmosphere while I was here XM channel Frank's Place which had the proper mood for the style of the place. Even though the crowd was slim this evening, I nearly felt out of place in jeans and long sleeve tshirt. The bartender even has slacks and a tie, a rariety for the West, that set the place off as having class.

I definately enjoyed it and hope it succeeds. Looking for a higher class bar downtown to take a date before going to see a local play or concert, then this may well be the place for you.

I wanted to started off the year with an audio clip my brother and I called into Odeo's phone service. Sadly it doesn't seem to be there, which didn't surprise me based on the trouble I had connecting to it with my cell.

Anyways it was a happy New Year with our traditional Flagstaff pine cone drop. It's always good to get together and I value the occasions.

So happy new year from Flagstaff and I hope it's a healthy and happy one.
